GOALS
Supervising and demand from the public sector quality services by empowering civil society to supervise Basic Health Units, generate reports and deliver them to the appropriate authorities.

DESCRIPTION
Every Brazilian citizen has the right and the duty to supervise and demand from the public sector quality health services. But it is necessary to create this habit among people, to show what the  mechanisms of control are, to know how to identify problems and solutions and to count on collective participation.
Based on its own methodology, focused on the care and the services of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), the group trains volunteers to supervise Basic Health Units.
Thus, with the participation of civil society, public management is always attentive to improving the quality of health systems.

RESULTS ACHIEVED
With the mobilization of the local community, more than 2,000 civic auditors have already been mobilized in 58 cities in eight Brazilian states. More than 13,000 audit findings were identified. It was also created the application “Adopt a Health Center”, so that any user can follow the situation of the Health Unit in their neighborhood, in addition to supervise, point out problems and solutions.
