SUMMARY
In order to generate income for rural women, the Agroecological Products Benefit House was built. The cooperative grew with the adaptation of traditional recipes and the professionalization of participants through training courses. The products are sold, generating income for the women involved.
GOALS
Implementing the processing of food products from agroecological raw material, seeking efficiency throughout the process.
DESCRIPTION
Many women were dissatisfied with local production, which targeted non-regional products. From this concern, leaders of the cooperative and women from the community organized themselves, started holding awareness meetings, as well as visits to the rural properties of the participants. Here was the raw material they needed and a variety of ingredients available to transform that cooperative's goal.
The initiative was presented to all women, with workshops in the houses of the cooperative, and they were about teamwork, cleaning and organization of the environment, culinary techniques, as well as standardization measures that enabled the marketing of products.
RESULTS ACHIEVED
Products such as jams and fruit jellies, cakes, breads and cookies are sold in the region and the capital of Alagoas, directly impacting the income generation of these women.

SUMMARY
The initiative is made up of women and their families with the purpose of rescuing and preserving, through voluntary and collective work, native seeds and seedlings, for cultivation and processing of medicinal plants. In addition, it seeks to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating and the use of herbal medicine to prevent and treat disease and produce food free from pesticides.
GOALS
Rescuing and preserving, through voluntary and collective work, native seeds and seedlings, for cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and awareness of the importance of healthy eating and the use of herbal medicine.
DESCRIPTION
Concerned about the health of the community and the growing use of pesticides in the region's food, a group of women, also formed by popular educators, began the initiative: planting a garden of native plants and training community residents for planting, growing and handling of food and medicinal plants.
The work takes place on a voluntary basis and the counterpart is to receive free courses, lectures, medicines, seedlings and seeds, turning the region into a large field of study. The surplus of all that is produced is sold at the group's headquarters and at cultural and community events.
RESULTS ACHIEVED
Encouraging group members and their families to be part of this exchange of knowledge and the need for environmental preservation, the initiative has aroused interest from students and researchers from across the region. It receives about 980 visitors every month.

SUMMARY
Community-Based Tourism (CBT) aims to generate economic benefits, promote the social development of residents and the conservation of the environment. Over the past 20 years, management of Pousada Uacari has become an important source of sustainable income for the residents of Reserva Mamirauá.
GOALS
Community-Based Tourism is a social technology whose main purpose is to contribute to the socio-economic development of Mamirauá Reserve's residents through an income alternative and the protection of the environment.
DESCRIPTION
Pousada Uacari is an enterprise run by the Mamirauá Institute and an association of residents of Mamirauá Reserve communities. In it, riverside communities have found a great option for income generation, social transformation and environmental preservation in the region.
Called Community-Based Tourism, the methodology enables local residents to carry out the tourism activity. They are guided by the principles of solidarity economy, local cultural valorization and, mainly, protagonism. In addition to generating income for local communities, it ensures the preservation of the environment.
RESULTS ACHIEVED
The 11 communities involved work directly in the rotation of activities, providing opportunities for all to share the economic benefits of tourism. In the last 11 years, more than R$ 3 million has already been generated through services and sales of local products.

Clog is a social technology in the area of Information Technology (IT) that selects and qualifies public school students to learn advanced programming and act as basic programming instructors for other students. They are encouraged to organize collective endeavors, to explore IT business opportunities in order to ensure sustainability.
GOALS
Promoting creative and digital entrepreneurship in IT in extremely poor communities and those far from major centers.
DESCRIPTION
Santa Luzia do Itanhy (SE) is a region with about 13,000 inhabitants, where most of them live in rural areas or riverside communities. More than 50% of families are dependent on Bolsa Familia (family allowance). It is in this scenario that a transformative action takes place.
Since 2013, young people from Itanhy have come into contact with programming and creative and digital entrepreneurship. Called Clog, the initiative initially selected about 300 teenagers to take Logical Thinking classes and Scratch - programming teaching technology developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Four students started reapplying the knowledge acquired in the region's public schools, resulting in a new horizon for them, who see new professional and income generation possibilities, directly impacting the future of each one and their families.
RESULTS ACHIEVED
The initiative has already resulted in partnerships with Microsoft, which has trained basic computer instructors, as well as jobs generated in Information Technology in other states. In all, more than 800 young people have benefited. The expectation now is the opening of the company itself, believing in the potential that young people have to become entrepreneurs.
